Many of these adventures will no doubt take place atop my new set of wheels- my recently acquired mountain bike "Lady Love". Since my ankle is still only partially functional, I've had to put running on the back burner, for a lower impact sport, and one that absolutely terrifies me! Thanks to Dave, my very patient tutor, I'm slowly getting better at it. I just need to learn how to steer... and how to shift, and maybe work a little on riding uphill, and maybe alot on downhill, and I haven't quite got switchbacks figured out yet... but one thing I do with absolute finesse is crash. Last week when I flew over my handlebars, my primary regret was that there was no one there to see it! I doubt there are many people on the planet who could get themselves so tangled in their bike or perform so many aerial feats in so brief an amount of time as I did. The landing was awkward, since I landed on my head, but thank goodness for helmets! It was a super fun ride, and a stellar way to celebrate my birthday.
Look how happy I am that my head is still intact! (I'm not sure what Dave's doing)
